Stokely Carmichael had four things he claims "need to be said". The first thing he claims "need to be said" is that they have to stop being ashamed of being black. The second thing he claims "need to be said" is that they need to move to a position where they can define terms for what they want them to be not the racist white society wants them to be. The third thing that he claims "need to be said" is they have to move to a position where they can feel strength and unity amongst each other from whites to harlem to where we won't ever be afraid. Lastly, he claims that they need to build a power base so strong it will bring them to their knees every time they mess with them.
