This after-school math/science enrichment program is for middle school students who are talented, interested, and motivated in science and mathematics.
The program will involve a commitment to attend sessions each Friday from 2:30-4:00 p.m., September to May. The cost of the program is $75 to defray the costs of materials & field trips. Scholarships are available.
Thirty-six students from grades 7-8 will be selected.
Student selection will be based upon the following criteria:
A student essay stating interest in the program.
An informational meeting for those students who received an invitation will be Tuesday, September 1, 2009, 6:30 - 7:30 p.m. in the LMS Gymnasium.
At the meeting you will learn more about the program and the activities for the students and you will be able to pick up an application packet.
