Tuesday Announcements

February 18, 2007

Today is Tuesday, February 20, and it is a B Day.

During our Professional Development on Monday, the teachers worked on ways to prepare students for the upcoming ISAT tests, and work on enhancing our curriculum with challenging assignments. It is important for our teachers to have time to collaborate with each other, so we appreciate these work days.

The district writing assessments are coming up this week! In an effort to encourage students to do their best, we are offering a special celebration to those students who score a 6 or 7 (the highest scores possible) on these district assessments. Take your time to plan your writing, making sure to follow the rules of good writing for the genre of your prompt. Do your best!

The 6th grade Boys Basketball team will have their banquet on Wednesday at the old Shakey's in Town and Country shopping center. It will start at 6:00. Cost is 25 cents per year of age for the players, but parents and guests are full-price. The boys are to bring in $5.00 to cover their cost. Please give your money to Mrs. Heyen today or tomorrow.
