April District Shining Stars-The Lindsay 2nd grade Team

Apr 11, 2013 The Lindsay 2nd grade team have been chosen to recieve the April Shining Star Award from the Springfield School Board. They are a team that takes the time after school every week to plan coherent aligned instruction for all 2nd graders. They share the work of lesson planning and have taught the students how to integrate technology into their work. Their spirit and hard work helps their students be champions.

Lindsay Cafeteria Earns Gold Award

Apr 11, 2013 Our Lindsay cafeteria staff Karen, Tammy, Sherleen, Jill, and Mr. Ken, our head custodian, were recognized by the Sangamon County Department of Public Health for demonstrating their commitment to food safety. The kitchen is clean and contains no violations. This is the 2nd year in a row they have received the award. We are so fortunate to have a staff who truly cares about doing a great job and keeping our Lindsay kids safe.

No Early Dismissal Today

Feb 21, 2013 There will be NO early dismissal today due to weather. Students will be dismissed at 3:00. Please be sure to be available to receive your children off the bus or as they walk home.

Lindsay K Night is Cancelled

Feb 21, 2013 K Night has been cancelled for tonight, February 21 due to weather concerns. The district has rescheduled K Night for April 11 from 6:00-7:00. On April 11 we welcome students who live within the Lindsay boundaries and who will be 5 years old by September 1, 2013, to visit Lindsay and learn about their first year of school. We look forward to meeting you and your child in April.

Vachel Lindsay Kindergarten Night

Feb 4, 2013 Kindergarten (K-Night) will be February 21, 2013 from 6-7:00pm. We are planning a night of information and introductions. Children who will be 5 on or before September 1, 2013 may attend kindergarten in the fall. If you know any families that have a child that will be 5 on or before September 1, 2013, please let them know about this special night.
