February
Mark your calendars for the week of February 14-18—there’s a lot going on! For starters, the Kids Care Club is holding a Basic Necessities Drive for Contact Ministries, collecting new and gently used socks and underwear for younger children. You can drop these items in the bin by the office.
Our second Book Fair of the year will also be held February 16-18. With a carnival theme, this Book Fair offers reading opportunities for circus folks of all ages! And don’t forget to pack the clown car and come out to Family Night on February 17 from 5:30-7:30 to enjoy big top fun and refreshments!
In conjunction with the Book Fair, we will be holding a Loose Change Spirit Week February 7-10. Each day students have the opportunity to bring in the designated loose change (e.g., pennies on Monday) to participate in various spirit day events (e.g., crazy hair day). The loose change will go towards the "One For Books" program where Scholastic will match our school's monetary donations. We benefit from "One for Books" because we get to keep 100% of what we collect and purchase books from Scholastic for our students and classroom libraries. Look for announcements in the Wednesday folders to learn how to turn our Marsh pride during the Loose Change Spirit Week into reading opportunities and resources for our school and our students!
