PTO AUCTION
The 13th Annual Owen Marsh Auction will be held on Friday, November 18, 2011, at the Knights of Columbus, 2200 South Meadowbrook Road. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m., with both a silent and live auction to follow and a cash bar. Tickets are $15 per person, with advanced ticket and reserved table sales beginning on October 13 at the Book Fair. You can also purchase a chance to win $500 in the 50/50 raffle at the Book Fair ($10 per chance). As Marsh's largest "fun" raiser, many volunteers and donations (tax deductible!) are needed to make this event a success. OME STAFF APPRECIATION
Thank you to everyone who assisted with our first Staff Appreciation "Apple-themed" Luncheon last month. We plan to host a special "something" each month, with our next date set for Thursday, October 20th during Parent-Teacher Conferences. BOX TOPS
Our first Box Tops collection brought in 2,323 Box Tops! The K-2 circle is in the lead, bringing in 1,413 with the 3-5 circle bringing in 910. Our next collection will be Friday, October 7, so the older kids still have a chance to win! I had several Campbell's labels mixed in with the Box Tops - we do not collect these at our school. They are very sticky, and adding them makes it more difficult to pick out the Box Tops, so please don't send them... Thanks, and keep clipping!

OWEN MARSH BOOK FAIR

...an "Out of This World" Book Fair in the Owen Marsh Library October 12-14th! Mark your calendars now for our Book Fair Family Night on Thursday, October 13th from 5-7 p.m. Students and families are invited to visit the book fair, enjoy some refreshments and participate in fun activities!
