Meet your McClernand Title I Parent Educator
Welcome from Mrs Mobley
My name is Dawn Mobley and I am your Title I Parent Educator. I began this role at McClernand Elementary School in October of 2016. I am married and have 5 children. I live in the Enos Park Neighborhood which surrounds McClernand and I believe in serving where I live. I love working with McClernand families and I love seeing students and their families at our neighborhood activities and parks.
I would like to take a moment to give a brief summary of my roles and responsibilities.
My main role is to serve as a liaison between home and school. I do my best to make certain that your student has a successful elementary school experience. To ensure this, I work closely with families, teachers, students, and community partners. I work hard to bridge the gap in communication by making phone calls, school meetings and home visits to assist and engage every family in need.
I connect students and families to community resources. These resources range from academic, financial, physical, relational and mental/emotional.
I work hard to build relationships with community partners by sharing the needs and wishes of our school with our community. Thes partnerships include leadership and assistance with Reading Mentoring Program, Terrific Kid of the Month, Birthday Club, holiday food baskets, clothing needs, school supplies, landscaping, and volunteering to support students, classrooms, teachers and our school staff.
I am a member of the Title I FACE Team. Our team plans events such as Open House, Grandparent Lunch/Coffee and Conversation, FACE Camp, Reading, Math and Art Events, Parent Teacher Conferences, and STEM Night. I encourage each of you to be a part of our FACE Team because your voice matters.
My office is located in the Team Room 108. Please feel free to stop by and visit me. No appointment necessary. You may also call me at (217) 525-3247 ext. 19128.
Once again welcome!
Dawn Mobley, Title I Parent Educator
