Downtown Springfield Rotary Club-Adopt a School Program

The Rotary Club provides valuable tutors and mentors for the students at Ridgely. Also, grant money is awarded on a yearly basis to the school for equipment, programs, etc. Mr. Gilmore, in turn, represents Ridgely Elementary by attending Rotary meetings. The "Real Rotarians Read" program brought a Rotarian to the upper grade classrooms to read to the students on a regular basis. Each student in the participating classrooms also received a copy of the book the Rotarian read with the class.
