SANDBURG PTC MINUTES August 14, 2012

REPORT BY SECRETARY (Joanna Webb-Gauvin/Kim Beachy 2012-2013): Minutes from the May 3, 2012 meeting and the May 17, 2012 meeting were distributed and reviewed.

REPORT FROM TREASURER (Andrea Ziccarelli & Brian Holmes 2012-2013):
The Treasurers Report dated May, 2012 beginning balance on May 1, 2012 was $18,063.44. Net revenues from Bottle Cap Necklaces and box tops totaled $506.50. Expenditures this month to Betsy Martin, Keri Shoemaker, The Feed Store, Sandburg school store, Alison Stachera totaled $965.38. Balance as of May 31, 2012 was $17, 604.56

The Treasurers Report dated June, 2012 beginning balance on June 1, 2012 was $17,604.56. No net revenues. Expenditures this month to Dynamo Industries (playground equipment), Brian Holmes (PTC checks), and Jennifer Read totaled $7,302.08. Balance as of June 30, 2012 was $10,302.48

The Treasurers Report dated July, 2012 beginning balance on July 1, 2012 was $10,302.48. Net revenues from PTC Dues and Bottle Cap Necklaces totaled $261.00. Balance as of July 31, 2012 was $10,461.48.

REPORT FROM PRESIDENT (Missy Hutchins 2012-2013): n/a

FALL FUNDRAISER STATUS: Ruthie will be here for bring your family to school night. Friday 8/24 will be kick-off assemblies and brochures will come home with kids that day. Sale runs through September 7th. Pick up will be Thursday and Friday October 25/26- during parent Teacher conferences.

BUDGET APPROVAL (5/17/12 BUDGET):
Jennifer Read motioned to approve the 2012/2013 budget, Missy Hutchins seconded.

MISC FUNDRAISER REPORT (box tops, family fun nights):
Melissa Remolina is transitioning Box Top duties to the new administrator.

PLAYGROUND EQUIPMENT STATUS:
Footings are currently being poured for the Star Climber.

NEW BUSINESS:
Bookfair and Music programs- November 13th and 15th
US Cellular- contest to win $50,000. Brian Holmes to get more details.
Avery- contest to win $10,000 in school supplies etc.
PTC to pay for the Barnes & Noble books- Missy Hutchins motioned to approve, Jennifer Read seconded.
