United Way Day of Action

On Friday April 25th Springfield Learning Academy participated in the annual Spring edition of United Way's Day of Action. The students picked up trash and debris at Brandon Court for the Springfield Housing Authority and then attended a community wide pep rally-outdoor luncheon at the United Way Headquarters. Food was donated by Schnucks for all the volunteers. The students worked in the early morning before the luncheon. In addition to building community awareness about giving back, the students also earned service learning credits.
