Good morning Southeast Students and Staff, today is Thursday, September 6th. Remember that successful Spartans ARE PRODUCTIVE, they participate in class, they complete work, and they submit work.

Anyone interested in trying out for the boys basketball team needs to speak with Coach Bradley in room 218 for about 5 minutes before or after school.

The first annual Spartan Battle of the Books is coming!! Put your team of 5 people together, register in the library with Mrs. Pennington, start reading and get ready to ROCK the Battle of the Books in February 2013!!

Seniors, the start of your LAST year at Southeast is a good time to think about NEXT year, so start the year off right by visiting the College Room. It is ALMOST scholarship time! If you plan to go to college to become a teacher or are interested in scholarships for teachers, get more information on the Golden Apple Scholars program from Ms. Carmien in the College Room.

Students... Campaign 2012 is underway... From the Presidency to local government there are many important races that will help shape the world you live in... If you are 18 or will be 18 by November 6th you can register to vote and make you voice heard. Stop by Room 202 and see Mr. Calderon to get signed up to vote Today!

Attention all students if you are interested in joining a volunteer organization at Southeast that does activities at school and in the community, please see Mrs. Watson in room 210 or Mrs. Hennefent 222 and ask about Key Club. Please see either of these teachers by Friday September 7.

Please see Mrs. Laub in Room 206 to sign up for your senior picture! This is for all seniors who have not scheduled an appointment through Grussenmeyers/Class Acts. They will be here on September 27th. There is a $15 sitting fee.

Juniors and seniors, college representative visits start next week. A schedule of college representative visits for September is posted on a calendar in the cafeteria. If you are interested in meeting with a representative you MUST sign up for a pass in the College Room!

Students from the "Sensations" show choir, concert choir, and French classes will be selling Krispy Kreme doughnuts through September 12th. You must pre-order your dozen glazed Krispy Kreme doughnuts at $6.00/dozen. Doughnuts will be available for pick-up on Friday, September 14th from 7:30 AM - Noon. Every student who purchases a box will receive entry into our Homecoming Raffle which includes free tans, free car washes, and a dinner for two at Red Lobster. Winners will be announced on the 14th.

Calling all freshmen. Vote for your student council members today during both lunch shifts in the commons! Your vote matters!

Girls’ basketball players will be selling Popeyes fried chicken on Friday at A and B lunch in the commons. $5.00 a box

Attention all juniors!!! Class color t-shirts for homecoming week are ready to order. You must pre-order and pay your $12 by Friday, Sept. 7th. Find one of your class council members to place an order, or stop by room 175B in the library. Show your support for your junior class!!!!!

Yes it's that time of year! Scholastic Bowl Season is coming soon! We will meet this Monday, September 10th in room 118, for an informational meeting and short practice. Please see Mrs. Kincaid or Mrs. Hennenfent with any questions!

Attention sophomores: We are now selling sophomore class t-shirts for homecoming spirit week. They are $10. Come to the commons during A and B lunch to see the design and order yours today!

Final auditions for How to Kill a Mockingbird will be held in room 110 tonight from 5-6 p.m. Drama club officers and Ms. Paige would like to thank you for the overwhelming turn out last night. If you have already auditioned, there is no need to return tonight. Because of time constraints with Open House, only students auditioning for the first time need to audition tonight. The cast list will be posted on the door to room 110 Friday morning. Please stop by to initial your acceptance and pick up your rehearsal schedule and script anytime Friday.

Girls’ volleyball team and individual pictures will be taken on Friday, September 14th at 3:45.

Homecoming is just around the corner. If you are bringing a date from another school, you MUST complete a date request form. The forms are now available in the main office. They are due September 19 to the main office...no exceptions!!!

If you are interested in running for Homecoming Court forms are now available in the main office. Forms are due to the main office by Wednesday, September 12th...no exceptions. You must be on level to be eligible to run.
