Good morning Southeast Students and Staff, today is Friday, September 7th. Remember that successful Spartans ARE FOCUSED, they are awake, on-task, and engaged in the classroom.

All students TODAY is the FINAL day to make changes to your schedule!

Congratulations to the cast of How to Kill a Mockingbird! The cast list is posted on the door to room 110. Please drop by to initial your acceptance. Scripts may be picked up immediately after school today. Rehearsals begin Oct. 1. If you were not cast, and still want to be part of the play, announcements will be made for crew and technicians near the middle of October. We hope you will consider joining us then.

Anyone interested in trying out for the boys basketball team needs to speak with Coach Bradley in room 218 for about 5 minutes before or after school.

The first annual Spartan Battle of the Books is coming!! Put your team of 5 people together, register in the library with Mrs. Pennington, start reading and get ready to ROCK the Battle of the Books in February 2013!!

Students... Campaign 2012 is underway... From the Presidency to local government there are many important races that will help shape the world you live in... If you are 18 or will be 18 by November 6th you can register to vote and make you voice heard. Stop by Room 202 and see Mr. Calderon to get signed up to vote Today!

Please see Mrs. Laub in Room 206 to sign up for your senior picture! This is for all seniors who have not scheduled an appointment through Grussenmeyers/Class Acts. They will be here on September 27th. There is a $15 sitting fee.

First Southeast FCA huddle meeting will be this Monday evening September 10th at 7:00 p.m. in the Southeast cafeteria.

Students from the "Sensations" show choir, concert choir, and French classes will be selling Krispy Kreme doughnuts through September 12th. You must pre-order your dozen glazed Krispy Kreme doughnuts at $6.00/dozen. Doughnuts will be available for pick-up on Friday, September 14th from 7:30 AM - Noon. Every student who purchases a box will receive entry into our Homecoming Raffle which includes free tans, free car washes, and a dinner for two at Red Lobster. Winners will be announced on the 14th.

Girls’ basketball players will be selling Popeyes fried chicken today at A and B lunch in the commons. $5.00 a box

Attention all juniors!!! Class color t-shirts for homecoming week are ready to order. You must pre-order and pay your $12 by Friday, Sept. 7th. Find one of your class council members to place an order, or stop by room 175B in the library. Show your support for your junior class!!!!!

Yes it's that time of year! Scholastic Bowl Season is coming soon! We will meet this Monday, September 10th in room 118, for an informational meeting and short practice. Please see Mrs. Kincaid or Mrs. Hennenfent with any questions!

Girls’ volleyball team and individual pictures will be taken on Friday, September 14th at 3:45.

Homecoming is just around the corner. If you are bringing a date from another school, you MUST complete a date request form. The forms are now available in the main office. They are due September 19 to the main office...no exceptions!!!


If you are interested in running for Homecoming Court forms are now available in the main office. Forms are due to the main office by Wednesday, September 12th...no exceptions. You must be on level to be eligible to run.

To all NHS members - Our first NHS meeting of this school year will be this coming Monday - Sept. 10th - at 3:30 in room 141. Please try to attend!!!

If any students are interested in the Big Brother/Big Sister volunteer program – Mrs. Davis has applications and informational sheets in room 141. All applications need to be completed and turned back in by Wednesday, September 12th to Mrs. Davis in room 141.
