Good morning Southeast Students and Staff, today is Thursday, September 13th. Remember that successful Spartans ARE PRODUCTIVE, they participate in class, they complete work, and they submit work.

Attention all freshmen interested in applying for the physicians pipeline program. Applications for this program can be picked up in the guidance office. Please see Mrs. Metz or Mrs. O'Neill for an application. This is a reminder that all applications are due by noon this Friday September 14, 2012, to Mrs. Metz. If you have questions about this application please stop by the guidance office.

Homecoming is just around the corner. If you are bringing a date from another school, you MUST complete a date request form. The forms are now available in the main office. They are due September 19 to the main office...no exceptions!!!

College representatives visiting this week are Quincy University today and University of Illinois at Springfield on Friday. In order to meet with a representative, you must sign up for a pass in the College Room.

If anyone is interested in becoming a Big Brother/ Big Sister please come pick up an application in room 141 from Mrs. Davis. All applications need to completed and turned in by Friday, September 14.

There will be a short meeting for Key Club tonight after school, beginning at 3:25 in room 210. We will elect officers and set meeting dates. Please plan to attend if you are interested.

Thursday, September 20 - Soccer pictures - 4 PM - Lee Field
Monday, September 24 - tennis pictures - 3:45 - tennis courts
Tuesday, September 25 - cross country - 3:45 PM - by pool

Attention students:
Illinois state law requires a physical exam with up-to-date immunizations for 9th grade and any new student to the district that has not had a physical within the last year. If yours has been completed, please turn it into the nurse or guidance office ASAP! Exclusion letters will be mailed home soon to students who are not in compliance and you will not be able to come to school as of October 15. Students who have scheduled appointments after October 15th will still be excluded from attending school. All required information is due to the school before a student can return from exclusion.

Anime club today from 3:30-5 in room 114.

Any teacher interested in tutoring after school, please see Mr. Roseboom. Tutoring will be held in the library Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 3:30 to 4:30.

Any student that is 16 or older and in need of credit recovery, please see your guidance dean this week to get the paper work for night classes.


Let's get pumped for Homecoming. Spirit Week starts Monday, September, 17! Dress up and show your Spartan pride!

Wednesday: Class Color (freshmen-purple, sophomore-orange, juniors-green, seniors-red)

Thursday: Blue and Gold Day


Remember to come to the auditorium to get counted for your class!

Homecoming Tickets will be on sale starting next week in the commons during both lunch shifts. Tickets are $10!

Calling all Spartan fans! There will be a tailgate party for our Homecoming game Friday September 21st. There will be free food, games, music, and fun! The class with the most people will win a free five minute pass to lunch on an assigned day!
