Good morning Southeast Students and Staff, today is Friday, October 5th. Remember that successful Spartans ARE FOCUSED, they are awake, on-task, and engaged in the classroom.

Attention students:
Illinois state law requires a physical exam with up-to-date immunizations for 9th grade and any new student to the district that has not had a physical within the last year. If yours has been completed, please turn it into the nurse or guidance office ASAP! Exclusion letters will be mailed home soon to students who are not in compliance and you will not be able to come to school as of October 15. Students who have scheduled appointments after October 15th will still be excluded from attending school. All required information is due to the school before a student can return from exclusion.

Bradley University will be here today. In order to meet with a college representative, you must sign up for a pass in the College Room.

The following teams will have their individual/team pictures taken on the following dates:

Cheerleading, Tuesday, October 9th at 4:00 in the gym
Poms, Wednesday, October 17th at 3:45 in the Taylor Street Lobby

9th-11th Picture Retake Day (12th grade IDs), will be October 15th
Senior Pictures, Tuesday, October 30th from 8-11:30 AM - must pay the $15 before that date to Mrs. Laub, Room 206. Order forms are in the main office!

Students due to some teacher training taking place in the library, the library will be closed today ALL DAY. Please stop by before or after school to return or check out books. Thank you.


To all NHS Members - I now have all the volunteer hours recorded. Many members are missing hours!!!! Please come by room 141 to check how many hours you are missing.

ATTENTION SPARTAN JOURNALISTS: WINDOWS, THE ONLINE STUDENT NEWSPAPER OF SOUTHEAST, IS LOOKING FOR EDITORS. JOIN US FOR AN INFORMATIONAL MEETING THURSDAY, OCTOBER 11 FROM 3:30-4:30 IN ROOM 110. STUDENTS INTERESTED IN SERVING AS EDITORS SHOULD PLAN TO ATTEND. INTERESTED BUT CAN’T MAKE IT? SEE MS. PAIGE IN ROOM 110 BEFORE OR AFTER SCHOOL TO PICK UP AN APPLICATION.

There is a Key Club meeting Wednesday, October 10th in room 210 starting at 3:25. Please bring your dues and September hours. There will be an officers meeting immediately following the general meeting. See Mrs. Watson or Mrs. Hennenfent if you have any questions or cannot make the meeting.

The following colleges will have representatives visiting Southeast. Please sign up in the college room in advance to visit with these reps.

Millikin University Oct 10th
Monmouth College Oct 15th
Illinois State University Oct 16th
Remember that there is no school on Monday. Anyone who would like to visit with Illinois College or University of Missouri St Louis must do so ASAP.

Attention ALL Fall Athletes - If you have NOT paid your athletic fee's please see your coach or Ms. Dalton in the Athletic Office.

Hey Spartans- are you all fired up from the presidential debates this week? Will you be 18 years old by November 5th? Are you ready to exercise your right to vote in the presidential election on November 6th? Let us help you out. We will have a table set up to register eligible voters on both lunch shifts in the commons. Remember every vote counts!

National Honor Society members need to see Mrs. Davis or Mrs. Watkins to sign up for volunteer opportunities.

Girls’ basketball will be selling Popeyes at A and B lunches today $ 5.00 a box.
