GOOD MORNING STUDENTS, ARE YOU DRESSED FOR SCHOOL SUCCESS?
The following Representatives/Colleges will be here on Wednesday, October 24th: Illinois State at 8:45am and SIU Edwardsville at 10:21am.
Today's Math Question: If Alysia walks 3.5 kilometers due east from her house and then turns and walks 2.5 kilometers due north, how far will she be from her house to the nearest tenth of a kilometer? Bring your answer to Mrs. Dalton in the athletic office and have an opportunity to win H2R2 tickets.
Senior picture $7 sitting fee is due for those that did not have it on the 10th. Please stop by room 206. If you don't pay the fee, your picture will not be in the yearbook.
Study table is in room 105 every morning (please get a pass the day before) and after school on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. All students are welcome!
Three scholarships have been posted in the College room, all senior English classes, and Mrs. Haptonstahl's room: Coco-Cola Scholars deadline October 31st, Golden Apple Foundation nomination deadline November 30th, and AXA Achievement deadline December 15th. Seniors check them out and see if they apply to you.
Attention all students - Math tutoring has started. Any student seeking help in any math class can meet after school from 3:15 to 4:00 in Mr. Schop's room 224 for free math tutoring. Tutoring is available each week Monday through Thursday. Talk to your math teacher for details.
The first Life After Southeast Workshop THE ROAD TO COLLEGE will be held in the Southeast commons tonight at 6:00pm. Juniors and seniors who are planning to attend college should come and bring your parents. There will be lots of information available.
The high school blood challenge has started! We lost last year, and want the title along with the $1000 scholarship back at Southeast. If you are interested in donating blood, please sign up with a member of student council, JILG, or in the main office. If you are 16, you must have a signed permission slip in order to donate. Permission slips can be found in the main office. If you have any questions, please see Ms. Stemler.
There will be a Spanish Club meeting today. The $5 fee will be due on that date. If you cannot come to the meeting, please see Ms. Armstrong and turn in your fee.
Reading is fundamental! Visit your school library and check out a book. Recent additions to our library: Tsunami-The World's most Terrifying Natural Disaster, and Watergate.
Attention Girls Tennis Players: There will be a meeting today after school in the college room. See coach for more details.
This week is Red Ribbon Week. Please show your support each day. Today is click-it-or-ticket, Wednesday is "Team Up Against Drugs"-wear your favorite sports team apparel. We will have prizes for people who participate.
French Club Incredibly Delicious meeting on Sat., Oct 27th, 2007. Please see Ms. Anderson for directions.
Attention any boys interested in wrestling. There will be an information and sign up meeting on Tuesday, October 30th right after school in the boy's locker room.
Attention All Southeast Students: Did you save all your 1st quarter hall passes? Do you have an empty hall pass sticker on the back of your ID? If so, bring your ID by room 207 before or after school today or Wednesday to receive your reward. Once again, if you did not use any hall passes 1st quarter, bring your ID by room 207 Tuesday or Wednesday, before or after school only.
Attention Girls Basketball Players: Basketball tryout will be held Monday, Oct. 29th and Tuesday, Oct. 30th at 3:30 in the gym for all girls interested in becoming a member of the basketball team.
Any girls interested in being a manager for the Girl's Basketball team should see Coach Collins Tuesday or Thursday after school in the weight room.
Attention Students: You can buy your yearbook 3 ways: 1) At The High School in Room 206 2) Through The District 3) Through Jostens. If you received a statement from Jostens but have already bought through the District or Southeast, please disregard.
Varsity and JV Soccer players please turn in your uniforms. Also you must pay for the socks you ordered, the price is two pair for $15.00.
Are you ready for a challenge? See if you can identify the famous novel that starts with the line. "When he was nearly thirteen, my brother Jem got his arm badly broken at the elbow". If you know the title and author, turn your answer in to Mrs. Voss in the library for a chance to win Spartan Tickets. This week's first line is in the Read Every Day display case across from the main office.
Attention freshmen interested in playing for the boys basketball team: Please see Coach Bradley in room 124 in the morning, during lunch A or after school to discuss important information. You will not be able to try out if this information is not completed.
Attention all Student Council members, blood drive
sheets are due to Ms. Stemler by Wednesday.
Anime Club this Thursday members should bring $5 for pizza for the Halloween party.
Attention all juniors and seniors. Candle orders for after prom fundraiser are due in on Thursday, October 25th. Please turn in to Mrs. Manns in the main office.
