The food industry spends a lot of money on advertisements to make people want their foods and buy them. They spend billions of dollars to advertise on TV, on billboards and in magazines and newspapers. Did you know that many websites are created to sell products? Did you know that some companies give teachers materials to use in their classes that look educational but that are designed to make you buy certain foods?

The Illinois State Board of Education is accepting applications for the Student Advisory Council. Current freshmen, sophomores, and juniors are eligible to apply. Applications are due May 31, 2019, at 5 PM. Please stop in the main office to pick up an application or see Mrs. Metz for more information.
Are you going to miss your senior friends after they graduate? Do you want to let a special senior know you are thankful for them? Do you want to will a senior good luck? Key Club has the perfect opportunity for you to Kiss a Senior Goodbye. During A and B lunch through Thursday for $1 you can write a special note and the note and Kisses will be delivered to them before finals.
Do you like to volunteer? Want to build leadership skills? Looking for some resume and applications builders? Become part of a great community of students with global connections? Key Club is the place for you and today is the day you find out how. Join us in room 210 for an informational meeting after school. A service project will be available until 5pm and snacks will be provided.

21st Century Tutoring is available in the library, Monday through Thursday from 3:30-5:30. On Wednesday from 2:30 – 5:30.
