Morning Announcements: May 23, 2019

May 23, 2019

Good morning Southeast Students and Staff, today is Thursday, May 23rd. Remember that successful Spartans ARE APPROPRIATE, they use appropriate language and abide by the school dress code.

And now a moment of silence to start the day!  (WAIT 10 seconds before moving on)

Thank you

“Good morning, this is your Wellness Wakeup Call!”

Most people know that commercials are produced in order to get people to buy products. Did you know that companies pay to have actors eat or drink their products in movies, TV shows, and even video games as a way to promote their products? When you watch a movie, a TV show, or play a video game, see how many products you can recognize. Of course, we should all spend less time in front of the TV, computer, or playing video games so we will have fun doing other more active things and be exposed to fewer unhealthy messages about food.

“Enjoy your day, the healthy way!”

The Illinois State Board of Education is accepting applications for the Student Advisory Council. Current freshmen, sophomores, and juniors are eligible to apply. Applications are due May 31, 2019, at 5 PM.   Please stop in the main office to pick up an application or see Mrs. Metz for more information.

Today is the last day Key Club is giving you the opportunity to Kiss a Senior Goodbye for a $1.  Visit them in the commons at lunch today to fill out a note for your friends and we will deliver the note and some kisses before finals.

Attention current members and new members of Sensations show choir - there will be a brief, mandatory meeting in Ms. Brink’s room 161 today right after school.  The meeting will include important details about summer events.  Please plan to attend.
