Morning Announcements: October 11, 2019

October 11, 2019

Good morning Southeast Students and Staff, today is Friday, October 11th. Remember that successful Spartans ARE APPROPRIATE, they use appropriate language and abide by the school dress code.

And now a moment of silence to start the day!  (WAIT 10 seconds before moving on)

Thank you

“Good morning, this is your Wellness Wakeup Call!”

Next time you go to the grocery store, buy a vegetable you have never tasted before. Look up ways to prepare the vegetable. Be adventurous!

“Enjoy your day, the healthy way!”

The band will be playing in the halls immediately following morning announcements.

Hey Southeast   Did you know that we are partnering with Project Mack and the other area High Schools to host the 2nd annual Trunk or Treat Event on Sunday October 27th?  Did you know that last year we passed out candy to HUNDREDS of area children?   Did you know that you could win prizes for best-decorated car?  Did you know we are also collecting gently worn shoes to donate to local school children?  We would like to challenge you to create a team and sign up outside room 218!!!!  Help make this event another wonderful one for our community!

Historically Black Colleges and Universities are coming to the capital city. Meet with reps from HBCUs and State Universities on Tuesday, October 15th at the Union Baptist Church at 14th and Monroe from 4 - 8pm. For more information, check out one of their flyers throughout the school or stop by the college room.

Attention all Spartans who are Key Club members and those who want to be, T shirt order forms are outside room 210 NOW!  Pick one up and bring it back with you to the meeting on October 15 with your dues.  Bring your hours, ideas for service, and a friend.  After meeting service and snacks will finish at 5.

Attention students, the library will be closed during both lunch periods today. Thank you!

There are some students who have not picked up their bus passes.  If you do not pick them up by October 16, they will go back and you will have to fill out another application should you want them again.  Please stop in the main office and see if you have any.

Now if you would, please stand for the Pledge of Allegiance

I pledge allegiance to the flag

of the United States of America,

and to the republic for which it stands,

one nation under God, indivisible,

with liberty and justice for all.

Thank you Spartans and have a great day!
