Our students had a great time at Fitness Night. We began by discussing facts about health risks for teens caused by a lack of physical activity, fast food, and unhealthy snacks. Committee member, Susan Pennington received a donation from Wal-Mart for vegetable and fruit platters for the participants. They really enjoyed them (as you can see in the picture). Mr. Akers wife, TJ Akers, provided Zumba instruction that kept the kids moving and enthusiastic about fitness. Mr. Robinson and I did our best to keep up. Thank you to the PE department for offering extra credit. I will send out the list of students who participated this afternoon.
