Southeast's Life Skills program went by Amtrak train to Lincoln, Illinois to meet their pen pals they have been writing to this school year. They also used this trip to learn another method of transportation that the students can use in the future. Once to Lincoln, our students met up with their new friends and learned about the downtown area of Lincoln. They were able to visit the Logan County Courthouse, where the students were able to tour the place. They had lunch at Mama' Arcade and went to Scully Park for a game of football and talking with our pen pals. It was a great trip. Thank you to Illinois Educators Credit Union for the grant money to make this trip possible.
