Springfield High students, Lillian W., Alex S, Carlee A., with Assistant Principal, Ms. Guerrero, assisted the Sangamon County CEO program host a group of four delegates at Island Bay Yacht Club from different countries visiting Springfield. They were able to share how high school leaders in the United States view the world, especially their perception of security issues. Springfield is one of 93 cities in the United States who is able to receive international delegates through the U.S. State Department. Katie Spindell, from the Springfield Commission on International Visitors, was present as the city liaison to the visitors. The visiting delegation included:
