SENIORS WHO PLAN TO APPLY TO EASTERN ILLINOIS UNIVERSITY: Save your application fee and sign up for Eastern Live. Nick Sanders, EIU admissions counselor will be here November 27 between 10 and noon to interview you, read over your application and accept you on the spot. Benedictine University at Springfield will be holding a Natural Science Open House for students, parents and teachers on Saturday, Nov. 10 at 10:00a.m. in Becker Library on the Benedictine campus. RSVP to http://springfield.ben.edu

Seniors interested in being a Senate Page need to pick up a sign-up sheet in the Guidance Office. They are due back by November 13th. Interviews will be held in December.

Students! Join the SHS Vocal Music group for an exclusive showing of "Hunger Games" at the Legacy Theatre, 101 East Lawrence, on November 5 at 5pm. Enter the costume contest by arriving dressed as you favorite movie character, there will be judging and prizes awarded to the top 3 costumes!! Tickets are $5 if purchased in advance from a choir student or $7 at the door with your school ID.

Attention anyone interested in the Fellowship of Christian Athletes: We will be having a meeting TONIGHT from 7-8 in Mr. Nesbit's room: room 266. Come for games and devotion! The next Superintendent Roundtable Commission Group will meet tomorrow at 1900 W. Monroe in the Boardroom. The meeting will begin at 4:00 p.m.

(787-4947) by December 19 to be in the yearbook. For information, see posters in the hall or come to Mrs. Barkmeier’s room, room 370.

Attention all students! Yearbooks are now on sale for $50 in Mrs. Barkemeier’s room 370, during fourth hour after school. You may reserve your book with $25 down and the balance due in May when the yearbook comes in. After December 19, yearbook goes up to $60.

The Cross Country team competed in the Sectional meet on Saturday at Hickory Point Golf Club. The Girls team finished 2nd qualifying them for the State Meet. Natalie Motor was the top finisher for SHS with a 3rd place finish. The Boys team finished 2nd qualifying them for the state meet. Tyler Owens was the top finisher for SHS.

Any freshmen or sophomore boy not in a fall sport that is interested in playing basketball should come to a meeting in Coach Reed’s room 228 on Thursday after school.

Spanish Club! We will be carving pumpkins after school in the commons on Wednesday. Also, if you are interested in attending the annual wiener roast Saturday, November 3rd please see a Spanish teacher today for a permission slip.

Congratulations to the girls swim team for winning their third straight CS 8 title this weekend at Eisenhower Pool. The Senators kicked off the meet in grand style winning the 200 Medley relay and shattering the conference record, congrats to Libby Opfer, Alex Carney, Megan Wilkey and Natalie Knox for the record. The girls also broke the CS 8 record in the 200 Freestyle Relay congratulations to Alex and Annah Carney, Megan Wilkey and Madison Milling for the record. The Senators weren't satisfied with just breaking relays records! Congratulations to Annah Carney for breaking two CS 8 records. She handily broke the record in the 200-freestyle as well as breaking her own record in the 100-freestyle. Natalie Knox broke the CS 8 record in the 100 Fly and Madison Milling was the conference champion in the 500-freestyle. It was a fantastic day for the Senators with at least two swimmers finishing in the top 6 in every swimming event. Shout out to Ms. Guerro for coming to cheer the girls on!!!
