Today is Tuesday September 12, 2017 where successful Senators follow the classroom and school wide expectations and allow for learning all throughout the building. Thank you for Being A Senator!

Any person interested in participating in Scholastic bowl this season should plan to attend the meeting on Wednesday, September 13 at 5:30 in the Commons with a parent. Contact Coach Teichman with questions.


Attention seniors: More scholarships have been added to the scholarship database; the newest being the Cyberbullying Prevention for Teens Scholarship and William Randolph Hurst scholarships. Check the database or see Mrs. Lauer in the post secondary office for details! 

Students this a reminder that book bags or cinch bags are not allowed during the school day and that includes going to your 7th period class or pe.

*Order your 2017-2018 Capitoline Yearbook now in room 254.  The cost is $60.

*Seniors, Contact Grussenmeyer Photography at 787-6688 to arrange to have your portrait taken for the yearbook and yourself.  If you want to have your baby picture in this year's yearbook, bring it and the $10 fee to room 254


Achtung Achtung German Club! If you are planning to come to the Kick-off Party this Friday, please join us for a short meeting in room 250 this Wednesday, September 13 to sign-up and discuss details. Please remember, the Kick-off Party is only for students who have signed up for German Club.

"Avanti's is Coming!  Order your Avanti's Famous Original Gondola, only $7, or Avanti's Loaf of Bread, only $3, NOW from any German student, German Club student or from Herr Koeppel. Original Gondolas are Avanti's famous 16" sweeter bread with salami, ham, American cheese, and lettuce.  YUM!  Order yours now through Tuesday, September 26.  Delivery is Thursday, October 5, during both lunch shifts and until 4 pm.  Questions, contact Sabrena Campbell 691-5401." 

Attention Seniors.  Your class panoramic picture will be taken on Friday, September 15th at 8:00 am on the front lawn, weather permitting.  The pictures will then be available for purchase during the lunch shifts on Monday, September 18th.  Packages range from $25 to $45, and cash, checks, or money orders will be accepted.  Checks should be made payable to the Goldbeck Company. 

Any Junior interested in taking the PSAT/NMSQT test should bring $18 to the Guidance office no later than next Friday, September 15th to sign up.  This is the National Merit Scholar Qualifying Test, and your score could qualify you for scholarship offers.  If you have any questions please see Ms. Smith.


Attention Juniors & Seniors: If you have signed up for a college representative visit, please remember to pick up your pass the day prior or day off inside the mailbox on Mrs. Lauer’s post secondary office (153A) door. You must show your teacher your pass to attend! 

Wednesday through Friday this week, the yearbook staff will distribute school pictures during both lunch shifts.  

“Atención Spanish Club! If you are interested in attending the Spanish Club Kick-off Fiesta, please speak with Señor Reichert, Señora Armstrong, or Señora Hopper for details. We hope to see you there!”

 Students and Staff - Parking lot checks have started.  We are checking for SHS parking stickers and that all cars are in the appropriate lot and space.  JUNIORs, we will raffle off five new parking spaces on Wednesday.  

The Varsity soccer team remained undefeated in the CS8 with a four to zero victory over Southeast. Kelby Phillips had two goals and one assist to lead the Senators. Max Thuma and Wolf Brethorst added goal each, while Ben Ihlenfeldt recorded the shut-out.
