Juniors & Seniors interested in attending the Capital Area Education/Career Fair at the State Fair-Orr Building on Wednesday, October 4th should've received a permission slip in their English classes. If not, stop by the Guidance Office. Students will leave school at 11:57 pm or after 4th period. In order for this to be coded as an activity, students must have turned in Signed permission slips by Monday, October 2nd, 3:30 pm-no exceptions. Students check in with their Guidance Dean at the Orr Building. STUDENTS MUST BE PASSING ALL CLASSES TO ATTEND.
Attention seniors !!! — See Mr. Schurman / Mrs. Lauer if you are interested in writing an essay for the DAR Good Citizen Program and Scholarship . Two national winners will be awarded $5,000.00 and invited to Washington DC to read the essay.
Yesterday at Clinton Hill Country Club in Belleville Illinois the Senator golf team season came to an end when they finished 4th by 6 strokes in the regional. That's the bad news, Jack Zerfas shot an 88. Adler Boatman shot an 84 and Zach Richmond fired his career best 73. The three Juniors advanced to Monday's sectional in Crete. Congratulations guys!
Do you know someone who has been affected by cancer? If so, please show your support by purchasing a Pink Out cancer shirt or hoodie to wear at the SHS/SHG game on Friday, October 13. Order forms are located in the guidance office and main office. Please turn in orders and money by this Friday to Mrs Kaisner in room 354. T-shirts will be available for pick up next Thursday and Friday before the game. Let’s show SHG how much school spirit we have! All proceeds go to the American Cancer Society.
