Any student auditioning for ILMEA needs to meet in the choir room on Monday morning at 10:15am. We will run through final details for the auditions. Bring your music, money for concessions and dress nicely!
Attention juniors and seniors: Sign ups for the college representatives currently scheduled to speak at SHS in October are hanging outside Mrs. Lauer’s office. Make sure you have checked for any schools you are interested in. Representatives will be here from ISU, SEMO, Mizzou, Bradley, SIU-C, Eastern, Western, Truman State, Harris Stowe State & More! Attention seniors !!! — See Mr. Schurman / Mrs. Lauer if you are interested in writing an essay for the DAR Good Citizen Program and Scholarship . Two national winners will be awarded $5,000.00 and invited to Washington DC to read the essay.
Do you know someone who has been affected by cancer? If so, please show your support by purchasing a Pink Out cancer shirt or hoodie to wear at the SHS/SHG game on Friday, October 13. Order forms are located in the guidance office and main office. Please turn in orders and money by this Friday to Mrs Kaisner in room 354. T-shirts will be available for pick up next Thursday and Friday before the game. Let’s show SHG how much school spirit we have! All proceeds go to the American Cancer Society.
Attention seniors: Mrs. Lauer & Victoria Jones from the Illinois Student Assistance Commission (ISAC) will be hosting a "College Changes Everything" Application Completion Day on Tuesday, October 31st in the Ghandi room. Students will have the opportunity to complete their college applications with assistance available to ensure everthing is done correctly! To sign up, see Mrs. Lauer in the post secondary office!
