We are selling German Advent calendars filled with fine German chocolate for $4 each. Capitoline Yearbooks are on sale for $60 a copy. In January, the cost rises to $70.
Seniors, - Baby pictures for the yearbook are due by December 15th. Also, call Grussenmeyer Photography at 787-6688 to schedule a time to have your senior portraits taken. Seniors, with portraits, can also put their "Senior Quotes" in the yearbook at no charge.

6 SHS students are in the Springfield Ballet Company’s performance of the Nutcracker at Csangamon Auditorium this year. Shows are at 2:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 9th and 2:00 p.m. December 10th.

Are you 16 years or older, interested in becoming certified to be a lifeguard, and want to earn a quarter gym credit? Stop by the guidance office to get information about a lifeguard class at the downtown YMCA every Wednesday between January 10 and March 7.
Congratulations to Blessen Platt, Michael Natty, Zaire Harris, and Chandler Dixon for being honored at the Springfield Urban League dinner Friday evening. They received an award for academic excellence.
The Lady Senator basketball team beat Normal U-High Saturday 61-47. SHS had 3 players in double figures with Ozzy Erewele scoring 18 points, Maya Fetter added 13 and Nicole Swehla chipped in 10. Next up is a home game against Quincy Notre Dame on Tuesday with the varsity game starting at 7.
