The SHS Photo Video Club will be meeting today right after school in the commons. We will continue writing on our short films. Also, please remember that club fees and t-shirt orders are due! As always we are looking for new members, so if you have an interest in anything photo or video check us out!

If you are interested in a career in plumbing, as an electrician, bricklayer, mason, carpenter or many other skilled trade there is an event SHS will be attending that's perfect for you. On November 13th from 12:30-3:30 we will be attending the Building Trades Apprenticeships and Careers Day at the BOS Center that will have members from local trade unions doing presentations and you will have the opportunity for hands on learning. Permission slips can be picked up with Mr. Kramer in 153A. Any questions or you want to voice your interest see Mr. Kramer.
The United States Military Academy at West Point will be conducting an informational meeting in Springfield on Wednesday, November 7 from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. The meeting will be held at the offices of the Association of Illinois Cooperatives, 6460 6th St. Frontage Road E, Springfield Illinois. This meeting is designed to introduce students and parents to West Point and includes the admission process and educational opportunities available. This information is most applicable to sophomores and juniors as the deadline for the class of 2019 has already passed, although seniors are welcome to attend.

FREE T-SHIRTS FOR BLOOD DONORS!! Staff & Students 16 or older can donate blood to the Central Illinois Community Blood Center on Tue., Nov 13, 8:30am-2 pm, in the Auditorium. Students aged 16 must have a signed parental consent form. You must sign up during lunch-in the Commons, and before school or after school-in the Guidance Office by 3:30 pm on Thu., Nov. 8. Please sign-up ASAP because once the form is filled, you will not be able to sign up. Teachers & Staff do not need to sign up, you can report to the Auditorium at your convenience. The boys soccer team came to an end last night with a 2-0 loss to Waterloo Gibault. The boys finished 23-6-1 and 8-1 in the CS8. Coach Phillips would like to thank the seniors for a tremendous career in the Senator uniform, 4 CS8 Championships and 3 Elite 8 Playoff runs. The team would like to thank Student Council and Senator fans for all their support during the season and playoffs.
