Joy A Nation started taking piano lessons at the age of 7.  At the age of 10, she started playing for church and at the age of 13, she was the full-time organist. Joy currently is the pianist/pipe-organist at Davis Memorial Christian Church in Taylorville. Joy also plays the keys for community theatre such as Hoagland Center and Legacy Theatre during summer.  Joy A Nation was even in a Contemporary Christian Band and recently a Rock & Roll band.  She also helps out several schools in the area when needed.
Growing up Joy was a music nut, constantly learning new genres of music. She was a huge band nerd in school, and I learned to play clarinet, flute, sax, trombone and baritone.  Joy earn a chance to represented her school, Morrisonville, in the All-State band and played clarinet her senior year where she was 2nd in the state. Joy Nation is looking forward to going to competitions with the showchoir!

Fun Fact: Joy A Nation’s specialty is alterations, and repurposing the fabric in Wedding gowns and other things
