We are Senators! The academic accomplishments of our students are the reason to celebrate a long-standing tradition of excellence at SHS. Along with successes in the arts and athletics we show our Solon Pride. Attend any sporting or spectator event and our student section will show you High Pride. Inside and out, Be a Senator!

Recent graduates are currently attending Duke, Vanderbilt, Notre Dame, Washington University, the University of Chicago, Purdue, Michigan State, University of Illinois, Northwestern and Brown as well as many other fine state and local universities, colleges and junior colleges. In the past 4 years we have also had 7 students appointed to one of the military Academies.

7 & Senators sang at Cardinals game and are regularly invited to come back
Only high school in the area with student-directed, student-produced, student-everything Fall play
Musical this year was Hairspray and the cast was even invited to sing to the Little Rock Nine
State finishers in Speech and Drama competition
30 Regional Scholastic Art Award winners. SHS students captured 2 of the 5 American Vision Award nominations (Like winning state for athletics). SHS students were awarded 13 Gold Keys, 17 Silver Keys and 23 Honorable Mentions.
5 out of 6 Old Capitol Art Fair scholarship winners were from SHS
7 All-State musicians in Band, Jazz Band and Choir. (Like going to state and placing for athletics)

Placed second in the CS8 All-Activity Award (in 13-14 we won it)
8 teams were CS8 Champs - Boys Cross Country, Boys Soccer, Girls Swim/Dive, Volleyball, Boys Swim/Dive, Scholastic Bowl, Boys and Girls Track and Field
3rd place in Boys Soccer
All-State athletes in Girls Basketball, Volleyball, Boys Soccer, Boys Cross Country, Girls Swimming, Wrestling, Boys and Girls Track
