To Join Boosters
SHS students are enthusiastic about their extracurricular activities, but funding these activities is expensive. With the current financial and infrastructure issues facing District #186, there continues to be an urgent need for a strong, active and visible Booster Club to support our students' activities.
The SHS Booster Club is a volunteer not-for-profit organization of parents, alumni, staff and other supporters that has a proud tradition of providing financial assistance for student activities through our membership drives and fund-raising efforts. The SHS Booster Club is unique in that it not only supports the school's athletic teams, but all student-oriented clubs, organizations, and extra-curricular activities. The Booster Club's financial assistance has exceeded $400,000 over the past eleven years, enabling our students to explore their interests in over 30 athletic and non-athletic organizations. With the assistance of our Principal, Mike Grossen, and our Activities Director, Gary Dorr, we want to do more!! But we can't do it without your help!! By becoming a member of the Booster Club, your contribution goes right back to the students in the form of uniforms, equipment, supplies, instruments, whatever is needed to outfit a team or put on a musical!! This year, we hope to raise urgently needed funds by increasing our membership enrollment to 25% of SHS families. If membership is not an option at this time, please consider volunteering some of your time to help us with any of our fundraising events. Please go to the "To Help" page in the Booster Club section for more information on volunteering. Whatever your contribution might be, please help support our SHS students by becoming part of this long-standing tradition!
