2011 Sangamon County Golf Champs

Springfield High won the Sangamon County Golf Tournament at Lincoln Green on Saturday, September 24th. This is the first time since 1995 that Springfield has won this tournament. Congratulations to the team members, Max Lister, Mitch Connelly, Coach Seiple, Jack Campas, and Jack McCarthy. This has been an outstanding week for the team.

2011 Boys Golf City Champions ~ September 19, 2011

In the closest City tournament ever, Springfield High's three day total of 486 was one stroke better than co-runners up Lanphier and SH-G, and the Senators captured their first City Title since 2004. Going in to the day knowing that every stroke would count, Mitchell Connolley and Jack McCarthy both fired 39's, and Max Lister and Michael Hamrick came in with 40's to bring home the trophy. A real team effort saw Sam Funderburg, Jack Campas, and Ryan Dorr all came through at one point throughout the three days of competition. Great job guys!
