Making a Stylus

Mr. Davis' classroom shared one way to make a simple stylus for the iPad.

There are several articles on creating a stylus. It's a great science experiment. Begin by asking students what would make a stylus. Being careful not to use things that would scratch the iPad, what materials work? Why does a finger nail not work? Why does a slightly damp q-tip work, but a q-tip won't work?
