The iPad is an important learning tool in grades 3, 4 and 5. There are many options for classroom use! An important first question for a classroom teacher is what’s already happening in the classroom? What can the iPad support and enhance in your classroom? At Black Hawk all students are responding to a blog on the all school book, Gooseberry Park. Every family at Black Hawk has a copy of Gooseberry Park. It is an all school, all student, all community home read aloud. The iPad can support that reading adventure.
A calendar with a reading schedule was sent home in early October along with suggested questions to get the conversations going. Daily trivia questions are read on the morning announcements. The reading blog posts additional comprehension questions. The iPad provides convenient access to the blog for students.
