Apr 20, 2007 Parent meetings are planned this week for parents of 6th graders. Both meetings will be at Springfield High, Commons from 6-7:30 PM. Attendance is required for students to take laptops home.
Mar 12, 2007 The first "take home" meeting is scheduled for Lincoln Magnet School on Tuesday, March 13th, 6-8 pm. Parents and students will learn about internet safety and district policy on the use of the MacBooks. The laptops went home for the first time on March 15th. Students will be working on completing a podcast about their planet. Don't miss the blog on taking the laptops home!
Feb 24, 2007 On Friday, February 23, students received their iBooks. They enjoyed creating in Comic Life and GarageBand. Student audio files in GarageBand shared information on technology rules and the many uses for their iBooks in class.
Feb 10, 2007 Friday, February 9th, all 6th graders were introduced to their Macbooks. Students received information on caring for their laptops and were introduced to Photobooth, ComicLife and Garageband. Students created audio files and posters.
Jan 26, 2007 Macbooks were distributed to 6th graders at Grant Middle School with a little help from the technology staff. We had a great Friday. Listen to some of the students' work.
