Random Classroom Wandings and Searches

In an effort to keep our middle, high and alternative schools safe and drug free, Springfield Public School District 186, in conjunction with the Springfield Police Department, will be conducting random classroom wanding of students beginning with the 2014-15 school year.

The lockers and other possessions of the students (backpacks, coats, etc.) from the random classroom will also be searched. Parents will be notified if their child was in a classroom that was randomly selected.

This process was designed to be efficient, should only take 10 minutes and should not disrupt other classrooms.

Please contact the Office of School Support (525-7911) with any questions.
