Dubois SCOPE program awarded grant

Feb 28, 2013 Dubois SCOPE was awarded a Quality Counts Child Care Training grant through Community Child Care Connections. The grant money will help develop and challenge the children in language, science and math in the Dubois SCOPE program. The materials purchased will enhance the children's skill playing and reading with over 100 books (eyewittness reading, science stories, I can read), games, measuring materials, magnets, puzzles, gym equipment and much more. Way to go Dubois SCOPE!

Project SCOPE at K-Night

Feb 26, 2013 K-Night has been rescheduled to April 11th at 6 PM. A SCOPE representative will be at each school location to discuss our program with parents.

Seniors find calling - and new young friends - in program

Jul 8, 2009 t’s 30 minutes until lunchtime on a rainy Monday in June during Wilcox Elementary’s summer SCOPE program. The 10 second- and third-graders in the program that provides activities for children whose parents are at work have divided up by gender — boys playing with LEGO bricks, girls with heads bent over papers — during quiet activity time before it’s their turn to eat. On the girls’ side of the room, two 8-year-olds sit side-by-side completing word-find puzzles in hot-pink marker. READ MORE
