May 1, 2018 7th Grade US History: This week we are watching Roots. Apr 18, 2018 7th Grade US History: We learned about the Battle of Long Island today, and began the Battle of Trenton. We will continue with it again tomorrow. Hopefully we will be able to complete it, the Battle of Saratoga, and the winter of Valley Forge on Thursday.  Homework & Reminders: •Revolutionary War battle presentations Learning at home: Ask your student what happened in the battle of Bunker Hill. Apr 17, 2018 7th Grade US History: We were able to get through the Battle of Bunker Hill (a battle that actually took place before the start of the Revolutionary War). However, a big chunk of the class had to leave for a field trip so we were not able to continue. We will pick up again tomorrow with the battle of Long Island. Apr 16, 2018 7th Grade US History: Today was the last day for students to become the expert on their battle and to practice teaching it, along with their skit. April 10-13

Apr 10, 2018 7th Grade US History: We began the hour by checking out the puzzle map bracket. The next rounds will be on Wednesday and Friday. I have attached a copy of the bracket. Next, we discussed the strengths and weaknesses of the American and British armies (yesterday's assignment). Then students were put into groups and chose roles (historian/developer or thespian) and a battle to focus on for a Revolutionary War battle project. READ MORE

Apr 9, 2018 Welcome back! It was nice to see everyone again, even if we were only gone a week:-) 7th Grade US History: We began the hour with Flocabulary's Week in Rap. Next, students had a little time to practice for our US State puzzle challenge before they competed for 1 of the 32 spots. READ MORE
