When your able to work with others it will benefit your social skills, and you can work more cooperatively. You can take ideas off of each other and help each other when you need it. If you’re alone you can’t do these things.

When you're in high school and college you do a lot of group projects, and working together now will help you to be able to work with others later on in life. When you're working in a career you will have co-workers. Some you may not like, but if you learn these team building skills now it will help you succeed in your career.

Using team building skills are so important in our A.V.I.D class. They help us learn to get along with other students as well as in other classes. This component being used in high school, college, or even the career that you choose will help you work together. If you don’t use this skill it can effect you in numerous ways. For instance, your boss at work could give you a partner to work with for a big state project. You decided that you don’t like this idea. It is good to use team building not only in AVID class but in other classes as well. YOu need to be able to communicate wherever you go, and be able to get along in all environments. Even if you don’t like a person you should show respect for them.
I think this would benefit people in high school and college because you have to work together way more then you would in grade school and middle school. You will have more communication groups and you need to speak more and share your ideas and be able to collaborate with others.

Team building skills are an important component in avid and other classes because in these classes you are using it the whole time. For example in avid we had to do avid islands. The avid islands were hard and needed a lot of teamwork and team work involves cooperation and collaboration. Without the team building skills the avid islands could not have been finished. A lot of things students do in classes involve team-building skills to get projects and other things accomplished.
These skills will help you big time in the future. They can actually make your future. Depending on the job you have, you will need those skills. For example, if you work at a store or you play on a sports team you will need team building skills to exceed in life. In a store environment, collaboration teamwork is the # 1 thing because you are always working with other people whether it is a customer or a co-worker. The same holds true for a sports team because it takes more then one athlete to complete a play. Without team work it is hard to get a job done!

It is important to have team building skills because as you get older, you will be forced to have to work with other people. When you work with other people, you cannot spend all your time fighting with them and arguing when you don’t get your way. If two surgeons were arguing over the procedure, the person getting the surgery done could die because valuable time was wasted.

Team building skills help us because after we graduate and we get a job, you will most likely have to work in a group. For example, since I am planing on being a Veterinarian, I will have to work with a diverse group of people to save an animal’s life. I may not like the people I have to work with, but the team building I did in school would help me. This would also help you in college because you would get better grades if you worked well with others which would lead to a better job.

Team building is important to AVID because sometimes there is group work involved and you as a student are expected to cooperate with the people in your group. This is also the same for all the other classes you are taking in school. If you can’t work with others, you are never going to excel in college and are not going to be able to find a good job.
