Periods 2 and 3
We are wrapping up our discussion of probability and expected value with a review. In this review are problems similar to the ones we have been working on over the last few days and weeks.

Period 4
We completed our discussion of substitution as a method of solving systems of equations. Students were asked to write and submit a summary of what we learned about that method. They used their notes for that.
We started to discuss elimination as another method of solving systems of equations. This uses either addition or subtraction to solve problems. This eliminates one of the variables and allows for solution for the remaining variable.
The solutions are still ordered pairs so once the first variable is found we have to find the second's value.

Period 5
Students started work on the project that we are doing. We divided into our groups for the first time.
Today we introduced the problems, made a know and need to know chart and a bubble web to help us organize our ideas and thoughts.
We also had time to start researching some of the ideas that we came up with.
