Period 2
We continued work on the project we started yesterday. This is a way to summarize and re-visit what we talked about in this unit.
It is due tomorrow.

Period 3
We started a new book today. The title is "Looking for Pythagoras." It will cover rational and irrational numbers, the Pythagorean Theorem, squares and square roots, and indirect measurement.
Today we introduced the subject and worked on 4 vocabulary words. Those four words are in the daily problem for today.
Assignment: read page 8. Finish 4 vocabulary words.

Period 4
We continued our work today with exponential growth. We discussed the exponential growth model and how it can be used in different situations.
Assignment: p. 524, #9 - 16, 22 -25, 34, 35, 38 -40. Use Grapher to make graphs.

Period 5
Continuing our work from yesterday we worked on factoring trinomials. Some of these used larger numbers. When that was the case it was often possible to factor out a common factor which then made solving the problem easier.
We also discussed the vertical motion model.
Assignment: p. 597, #32-39, 52-53, 58, 60
