Scholastic Bowl Practice 01/31

News Jan 31 This Thursday's practice finally got JMS and CCPA together! Both halves of the team did a wonderful job, and all are looking forward to our first meet on 02/14.

8th Grade: Surface Area of Polyhedrons

Photos Jan 31 Ms. Grace's class, using the formula for area of a triangle (1/2xbxh) found the surface area of a polyhedron with 24 faces. In case you're interested, it was 3990 sq. cms.

7th Grade: Ordering Fractions & Decimals

Finding Surface Area of 3D Shapes

Photos Jan 18 8th Graders in Ms. Grace's class calculated the surface area of two types of pyramids as 2D drawings, and then turned them into 3D shapes.
