Reading Homework!
Reminder that all students should be reading a minimum of 20 minutes a night. All kids Reading logs will be checked daily, and consequences will take place for those students that have forgotten to return their nightly reading log. Children will be asked to read during recess. I know nobody wants to miss their recess, so let's practice responsibility and remember to do our homework,
SPELLING
We incorporate spelling through our daily word work. At the beginning of the week we give your child a list of six words. We practice writing these, rounding up rhymes with them, reciting them and spelling them. The ultimate goal for a "younger" is to be able to read the words and an "older" should be able to spell them! Although..we welcome "youngers" to spell them properly as well.
Behavior Calendar
As you should know by now, the behavior logs go home each night stating what kind of day your child has had. It is very important that you sign or initial the box each night, so that we know you have seen it! This way we can move forward on behavior the next day! We look forward to a year of mostly Green and Blue behavior days!
Library
Our class goes to the Library every Thursday. They are given the chance to check out a book, if they have returned their book. Please help your child remember to bring their book every Thursday.
SNACKS!
We can always use snacks! Please feel free to provide us with a healthy snack at anytime of the year. If you spot a good sale, that is the time to think of our grumbling tummies! Thanks in advance for all you do.
Reading Logs
Blog Feb 27 Don't forget that Reading logs are due tomorrow! Hoping for 100% of students reaching their February goal!
GERM FREE!
Blog Feb 1 We are almost out of Lysol wipes. With all of the sickness around town, we try to wipe down the tables as frequently as we can. If anyone is willing to donate Lysol wipes to our classroom...our healthy students would appreciate it! Thanks!
Thank You!

GAMES!
Blog Jan 24 With the cold weather, we have had to be indoors for recess. We could use some board games if you have any you would like to donate! Thanks in advance.
Parent Teacher conferences!
Blog Jan 23 In your child's Wednesday folder you will find the time slot for your child's conference. Please let us know if we need to reschedule for another date or time. We try our best to please all!
