PARCC Practice Tests

Take a practice test online for both ELA (English Language Arts) and Mathematics. Just select your grade level from the choices.

What is Data Days?

Data Days are a professional day for teachers to look at student data and determine if classroom instruction is meeting at least 80% of students' needs. They then can create a plan to differentiate instruction for the children who are not meeting grade level expectations or put interventions in place for those students.

What is Backwards Planning?

Teachers may need to be absent from your child's classroom throughout the year to attend backwards planning. These are professional days when all the teachers from the grade level, the literacy coach, and principal determine which Il Learning Standards they will focus on during that term's instruction. They take into consideration how they will assess those standards, the essential questions around the themes or units, and select appropriate materials to best support student learning.
