AVID Introductions

AVID 7th graders learned the proper way to introduce themselves to an adult (squared shoulders, firm handshake, proper volume, etc). We practiced our new skill by meeting some adults in our building.

Team Building

It takes team cooperation to be successful! In AVID class students worked in teams to create a tower from 2 pieces of tape, 10 paper clips, and 5 sheets of paper. Student came together as a team and listened to the ideas of their peers. Through "team work" all towers stood strong!

AVID field trip-Illinois State University

7th and 8th grade students took a field trip to Illinois State University in Bloomington, Normal. We learned about the admissions process, toured the campus, saw a dorm room, and the new recreation center.
