Math Semester Exam!!

Dec 5, 2012 The semester exam in my math classes will take place Thursday, December 13th all day. Students will be provided 2 days in class to review, as well as a review packet from which to study. Please remind your student to get a good night's rest and a healthy breakfast that morning!

Pi Day Celebration!

Mar 12, 2012 The students in each of Miss Smith's classes will be celebrating on Wednesday for Pi Day (3/14). If your student would like to bring in snacks (of the round variety) in to share with the class, make sure that all needed materials are included. Things to send with might be plates, forks, cups, napkins, etc. If you are unsure how much to send, let me know by phone or email and I can give you an exact number! Happy Pi Day!

ISAT TESTING!!!

Feb 24, 2012 Students should be preparing for ISAT testing the week of March 5th in class. Please be sure to get plenty of rest and a healthy diet during those days to help prepare. Also, be sure to check out my resources tab for a link to the ISAT practice page.

Pi Day Student Contest

Mar 11, 2011 The first student at GMS who can recite the first 25 digits of Pi will receive a pie of their choice from Bakers Square. Rules are as follows: 1. Student must recite the numbers IN ORDER and ON THEIR OWN (no friends/helpers of any kind). 2. Student must recite Pi from memory and cannot use the aid of any written content to help them. 3. GMS Cheerleading Banquet

Mar 8, 2011 The GMS cheer banquet will be held on Wednesday March 16 from 6:30 to 8pm at The Incredible Pizza Company (2744 South 6th Street in Springfield). Cost for cheerleaders is free, but families/siblings/etc will need to pay for their own food. Cost for the buffet is $7.00 per person, and should be paid the night of the event. This is the discounted group rate, so orders beyond the buffet may be priced differently. READ MORE

Boys Basketball Sectionals Update

Feb 8, 2011 The 8th grade boys basketball sectionals game will officially be held Wednesday 2/9/2011 at Rochester Middle School. ALL cheerleaders should be at RMS by 5:15pm ready to warm up -- A-Squad and B-Squad cheerleaders will be cheering at this game. Game time is 6:00pm. If GMS wins, we will follow the schedule for games on Saturday.
