The Monthly Husky

This is the first edition of the monthly newspaper, "The Monthly Husky." This edition was written by 3 Fox 5th graders: Grace Beyers, Ally Granados, and Denver Merz. It was their idea to start a 5th grade newspaper. The next edition will come out in early November and will include writers from the other 5th grades as well as from Fox 5th grade.

Homework

Miss. Harness and I check in homework assignments each day. If your child spends 30 minutes on an assignment and is still struggling with it, just make note on the sheet and initial it.

You should see a "just right" book come home with your child every evening, including weekends. They should be reading about 30 minutes at home each day.

Most weeks, your child should bring home a spelling list and a list of vocabulary words on Monday. They can study these each evening for the assessments on Friday. If they lose the list, spelling and vocabulary words will be listed on my website.

For the most part, your child will not have homework on the weekend, except for reading.
