 | New Berlin Art Show WinnersApril 10, 2013 4 photos Congratulations to the New Berlin Art Show Winners. In March these 4 students won ribbons at the show at the county Fairgrounds in New Berlin. Franklin entered 30 pieces in the show of great art work and they were all on display. These students came home with special ribbons. |
 | Learning to Blend with PastelsMarch 20, 2013 16 photos We cropped our photos and came in close like Georgia O'Keeffe. We enlarged them and in many cases changed the background. Then we chose a color group we have been studying. Now we are learning to blend the pastels to create different values. |
 | Stepping Stones for the Early Learning CenterMarch 13, 2013 31 photos Art Club is designing and painting stepping stones for the Literacy Garden for the Early Learning Center. We have been working on them for a month now. Soon we will get to see them in use. |
1900 Gallery
Jack Esela (8th Grade) is being honored at the 1900 Gallery Show Reception on Thursday, March 14, 2013. His oil pastel drawing of a cropped panda using a triad of colors was chosen to represent Franklin in the 1900 Gallery at the District Board Office. This piece will hang in the gallery at the office building for one year. The composition works great and the colors chosen “grab your attention”. Great work, Jack! Your piece will represent us well.

How exciting! the theme is Jingle Bell Rock and we went back to the fifties when the song first was written for our inspiration. The Art Club worked sooo hard and I think we have one of our best trees to show for it! Wow! |
