End of Year PBIS Reward
Student names will be chosen out of the Purple Positive buckets to participate in and End of the Year Activity Day. It will be held on Tuesday, May 28th from 8:00-10:00 am! Students will get to choose from a variety of activities. So get those purple positives turned in!!
What is PBIS?
Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS) is a proactive systems approach to establishing the behavioral supports and social culture and needed for all students in a school to achieve social, emotional, and academic success.
As a Response to Intervention model, PBIS applies a three-tiered system of support, and a problem-solving process to enhance the capacity of schools to effectively educate all students.

aMAZE!
The Girl Scouts of Illinois will be sponsoring a small group activity for girls on Mondays during lunchtime starting Monday, Sept 10 through October 22. The group touches on issues facing students of today such as friendship, self-esteem, bullying, and cyber-bullying. There will be hands on activities and discussions.
If interested please fill out the permission form attached or get one from Ms. Connolley in room 205.

Lunch Bunch Moved to Friday this week
Info Feb 26 Ms. Connolley will not be in the building again this Thursday so Lunch Bunch will meet Friday instead. See you then. . . .Finally!!

Resources Bullying
The attached is a document defining bullying. If you feel you are being bullied, it is important for you to report it to an adult you trust in the building. Each teacher has bullying forms in their classrooms or you can send an e-mail to me anonymously at lconnol@sps186.org.

Check in/out
Check in/out is a secondary intervention for any student who is struggling with academics, behavior or social skills. Students are reminded of expectations and pick up a check in/out sheet each morning from their supervisor. Scores are tracked daily to see if progress is made.
