Quiz Retakes

Sep 7, 2012 6th grade math students that wish to retake the Prime Time investigation 1 quiz may do so during their lunch period on Wednesday September 12th.

Grade reports

Sep 7, 2012 On Monday Septemeber 10th students will receive a a copy of their current math grades. The paper will need to be signed and turned back in for credit by Wednesday September 12th. Students are able to make corrections and turn in late assignments for additional credit. Most practice assignments can be corrected at home. If a student wishes to retake a quiz special arrangements will need to be made for the student to remain after school or complete the quiz during the child's lunch period.

Graded papers to be passed back

Sep 7, 2012 Graded papers will be passed back to all classes on Monday September 10th. Students will be placing these in their math/literature folders and are expected to take them home for parents to view. Due to the time it takes to pass back papers we will only be doing so once a week, or once every two weeks. Students that wish to redo an assignment can do so at home. READ MORE

Quiz 6th grade math

Aug 30, 2012 Students in my 6th grade math classes will have their first quiz on Thursday Sept.6th. The quiz will assess students on their knowledge of Prime Numbers, Composite Numbers, Factors, and Multiples.

Lesson Plans and Homework

Aug 24, 2012 Thanks to the wonderful world of technology you can now view a teacher's lesson plans from your child's cumulative folder! What does this mean? When you go to check your student's grades online you will be able to click and see what lessons were covered on a specific day. Keep in mind that the lesson plans and assignments are posted in advance. Homework assignments and material may change daily. I will try to update any changes a soon as I can.

Math homework coming home !!!!!

Aug 22, 2012 Students should be bringing home their first graded assignment this Thursday or Friday (Aug.23-24). Please check for it in their math folder. Earlier in the week students were assigned a set of questions to answer for homework. Some questions were easy and other questions were difficult. Students corrected their work in class and used the Homework Guidelines paper to assign themselves a grade. I then assigned them the grade that I felt their efforts deserved in green pen. READ MORE
