Lawrence Thomas made his debut for Southeast High School by beating heavily favored and highly ranked Harvey Thornton 68-65 at the Decatur Turkey Tournament in 2008. CS8 Has Shot at Three Boys Regional Basketball Titles

Mar 4, 2011 Three Central State Eight Conference boys basketball teams will play for championships tonight at three different Class 3A regionals. All three games start at 7:30 p.m. At Decatur Eisenhower Top-seeded Southeast, the three-time Central State Eight Conference champion, plays Decatur MacArthur. The Spartans crushed Mount Zion 82-41 Tuesday behind 23 points and nine rebounds from Chris Davis. Southeast is 21-6 and on a seven-game winning streak. READ MORE

Southeast’s Harden signs to play hoops for Wichita State

Mar 4, 2011 Southeast High School senior Alexandria Harden is one of the best track and field athletes in the state of Illinois. Three state titles in the long jump, two state titles in the 4x200-meter relay; one state title in the triple jump, and one team state title are proof of that. Her talent on the track is unquestioned. But then again, so is her love of basketball. When it came time to make a college choice, her love won out. READ MORE
